Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects, P.A. has been providing its clients with quality architectural design services since 1971. As a firm, our goal is to provide excellence in planning, design and construction administration, while satisfying our client’s budget and schedule. Since the founding of the firm, we have enjoyed steady growth in all of our studios and have had the opportunity to work on many different project types in numerous states, counties, and cities.

Today, our multi-disciplined staff specializes in several areas, most notably Government and Public Safety Facilities, including 911/EOC Communication Facilities, Fire/EMS
Stations, Training Centers, Government Complexes, Law Enforcement Facilities,
Detention Centers, and Court Facilities. Beyond architectural design, we offer our clients services in Master Planning, Space Needs Studies, Long Range Planning, Feasibility Studies, Interior Design and Renovation.

In the past 55 years, we have consulted on the design of over 700 public facility projects throughout 27 states - including more than 50 public projects in North Carolina in the last five years alone. Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects understands the requirements of designing public facilities and government facilities. Our specialized expertise helps cities and counties better the morale of their personnel, decrease insurance rates, and provide better facilities for their citizens.
